Cohorts ’13 and ’14 come together for first time

News items - 13 January 2014

Last week, for the first time, Teach First NZ’s 2014 cohort came together with the inaugural 2013 cohort. This gave both cohorts a significant opportunity to interact with and learn from each other.

They lived together in-residence, and also attended several combined sessions.

One session, in particular, helped the cohorts to see themselves as part of a global community of teachers. The cohorts also engaged in discussions about effective teaching pedagogy, where the 2013 cohort was able to share some of their first-year experiences of being in classrooms. Teach First NZ is confident that the two cohorts will continue to inspire and strengthen each other in the year ahead, as they continue to build our wider community.
