- Tax-deductible in NZ: Ako Mātātupu: Teach First NZ is a registered charity; donations over $5 are eligible for a donation tax credit.
- Claim 33⅓% back: Individuals can claim 1/3 of eligible donations (over $5) up to your taxable income for the year.
- How to claim: Upload receipts in myIR (fastest) or submit IR526 after 31 March if you’re not using myIR.
- Deadline window: You have 4 years from the start of the next tax year to submit donation receipts.
